ARTIST STATEMENT
This body of work represent a personal landscape, with an inner intensity. It interprets spaces which inspire my identity.
The atmospheric, abstracted images from the environment reflect some mood or aspects of the human condition.
In my work I don’t wish to mirror real places, but rather try to capture the spirit of nature and the relationship between landscapes and mindscapes.
I seek to explore tension, depth and balance through the use of multiple perspectives and textured compositions.
My paintings are built layer upon layer; at times exposing the history beneath - at times covering it.
