Historical: Jean’s country is at Kerrinyerra (Mt Wedge) where she was brought up in the
Traditional Law.Her dreamings are Kawmarra (bush onion) warm (Fire), and Ngapa (water) .
Moving from tradionational iconography through an abstract impressionism, She now paints predominantly
bush onion stories using a white back ground to indicate the salt lake at Mt Wedge in which the bush onion grows.
Jean is the sister of Maureen Hudson Nampitjinpa.
